I swear, it's somewhat impossible to find time to blog. I don't know exaclty what I'm spending all my time doing, but apparently it makes me far too busy to spend time blogging. Oh well! Today I have some down time because I am taking care of my sick husband, who is napping at the moment. I feel obligated to take really good care of him because I'm the one who got him sick. We are having a case of the stomach flu around here. My dad got it and gave it to my mom and me, and of course I had to give it to Caleb. I just hope his family doesn't get it now. What do ya do?
Anyway, at the end of July, Caleb and I got the chance to go camping at Tropic Reservoir in Southern Utah for a few days with his parents for his mom's family reunion.
A lot of prep work goes into a successful camping trip. Cleaning the trailer, packing and loading the trailer, and cleaning the house (it just has to be clean before I go on vacation, I have problems) take up the majority of the time, luckily I don't have pictures of all that boring stuff. I do have a few pictures of the fun aspects of getting ready, like making tons of beef jerkey, homemade graham crackers (delish), and of course making your tackle box pretty...
I added some vinyl to my tackle box just because :)
Then we were off!
We spent our time doing pretty awesome stuff...
The majority of our time was spent on the 4 wheeler, going everywhere you can imagine. (Yes, I also put vinyl on our 4 wheeler, I just can't help it...)
We also spent a lot of time fishing. Caleb's Uncle Mic found the best fishing spot on the whole reservoir and gave us the perfect recipie for catching fish (a worm and 2 mini marshmallows). We were catching them left and right. I had a riot. Caleb had a lot less fun I'm sure, because he spent most of his time baiting my hook and taking the fish off. But as you can see, I did let him fish a little bit...

Tropic is about 20mins. away from Bryce Canyon, so Caleb and I spent one of our days as tourists. What a beautiful place! We hiked down Sunset Peak and got quite the workout on the way up, and took a TON of picutres. We spent about a half a day there, but decided that you can only spend so much time looking at rocks and headed back to camp.
No camping trip would be complete without a lot of eating. The family reunion meals were mostly dutch oven pot lucks so we spent almost every night cooking something up in the dutch ovens.
Smores may possibly be my favorite thing in the entire world, so I never miss the opportunity to have one. Caleb's mom found these huge ENORMOUS marshmallows at Reams and they were so incredibly messy, but so incredibly yummy.
All in all we had a great time. We always have a blast camping. We're glad that Caleb's parents took us with them and can't wait until next year when we get to go again! :)
