~ GrAnDpa GeTs A NeW dEcK ~

Since pretty much the only people who actually read this blog (besides my mom) are my aunts, my mom asked me if I could post some pictures of Grandpa's new deck at the cabin so they could see it since they both couldn't make it to the cabin this summer. So here they are Aunt Connie and Aunt Debbie!(and mom too..) Enjoy :)
The old deck ripped off! The old deck was so rotten that when my dad and Grandpa were tearing it up, Grandpa fell through the floor! (Luckly he was fine, just a few bumps. It about gave my dad a stroke though!)
Just about done...
My daddy, the handyman, hard at work! :)
All done!
Look at that beauty! :)
Grandpa gave it a nice coat of sealer and it looks awesome. Plus you can walk on it now without the fear of death in every step!

~ cALeB's FaMiLY rEuNiOn ~

I swear, it's somewhat impossible to find time to blog. I don't know exaclty what I'm spending all my time doing, but apparently it makes me far too busy to spend time blogging. Oh well! Today I have some down time because I am taking care of my sick husband, who is napping at the moment. I feel obligated to take really good care of him because I'm the one who got him sick. We are having a case of the stomach flu around here. My dad got it and gave it to my mom and me, and of course I had to give it to Caleb. I just hope his family doesn't get it now. What do ya do?

Anyway, at the end of July, Caleb and I got the chance to go camping at Tropic Reservoir in Southern Utah for a few days with his parents for his mom's family reunion.

A lot of prep work goes into a successful camping trip. Cleaning the trailer, packing and loading the trailer, and cleaning the house (it just has to be clean before I go on vacation, I have problems) take up the majority of the time, luckily I don't have pictures of all that boring stuff. I do have a few pictures of the fun aspects of getting ready, like making tons of beef jerkey, homemade graham crackers (delish), and of course making your tackle box pretty...

I added some vinyl to my tackle box just because :)

Then we were off!
We spent our time doing pretty awesome stuff...

The majority of our time was spent on the 4 wheeler, going everywhere you can imagine. (Yes, I also put vinyl on our 4 wheeler, I just can't help it...)

We also spent a lot of time fishing. Caleb's Uncle Mic found the best fishing spot on the whole reservoir and gave us the perfect recipie for catching fish (a worm and 2 mini marshmallows). We were catching them left and right. I had a riot. Caleb had a lot less fun I'm sure, because he spent most of his time baiting my hook and taking the fish off. But as you can see, I did let him fish a little bit...

Tropic is about 20mins. away from Bryce Canyon, so Caleb and I spent one of our days as tourists. What a beautiful place! We hiked down Sunset Peak and got quite the workout on the way up, and took a TON of picutres. We spent about a half a day there, but decided that you can only spend so much time looking at rocks and headed back to camp.

No camping trip would be complete without a lot of eating. The family reunion meals were mostly dutch oven pot lucks so we spent almost every night cooking something up in the dutch ovens.

Smores may possibly be my favorite thing in the entire world, so I never miss the opportunity to have one. Caleb's mom found these huge ENORMOUS marshmallows at Reams and they were so incredibly messy, but so incredibly yummy.

All in all we had a great time. We always have a blast camping. We're glad that Caleb's parents took us with them and can't wait until next year when we get to go again! :)

~ 4tH oF JuLy aT bEaR LaKe ~

For the 4th of July, Caleb and I went to the cabin with my parents. We had a great time. Here are some pictures of the fun!

My Grandpa Lane and Grandma Dixie invited us to go to the 4th of July program at the tabernacle in Paris, Idaho with them.

They sang a bunch of songs about America and at the end had a tribute to the armed forces. The only picture that turned out from inside the tabernacle was this picture of a Marine holding the Marine flag. Caleb says it's just proof that Marines are clearly the toughest...

Then we all went outside for the Paris parade.
My favorite part was this little minature pony. He was awesome, as you can see...

Caleb's favorite part was the Farmall Super C. We were a little disappointed that there was only one old tractor in the parade, but it was a cute little tractor.

I've been to quite a few small town parades, but I can honestly say I've never been to one so small that they turn around and go up the other side of the street when they get to the end of town. I guess we can be certain we didn't miss out on anything and we got to see all the fantasic parade entries TWICE, wow are we lucky or what? It was nice to be outside and get a few pieces of candy though...

We had dinner with everyone that night and enjoyed a beautiful sunset.

Just another great weekend at the lake... :)

My parents and I had the chance to go to one of Hayden's baseball games. He is in coach pitch and the game was about a hour long. We enjoyed seeing him, he sure is a cute kid!

This year our nephew Scotty turned 5 years old.
His birthday is on the 4th of July, so the Fishnick's decided to celebrate a few days early this year since Caleb and I would be out of town. We had dinner and cake and then went to a splash pad and park so the kids could play.

I have found that being Aunt Andrea gets me involved in a lot of activities that I'm not very fond of, for example, playing on splash pads, but I've also found that being Aunt Andrea makes it very difficult to say no. So, I ran through freezing cold water for a few hours for the sake of fun. I would also like to point out that the only adult in these pictures is me, and that is not because there are no pictures of anyone else, it is because no one else would play. Yes, it's rough being me, and yes I'm pretty much the best aunty in the world, well, besides my aunties of course... :)

As usual, I'm behind, but I guess better late than never...
For Father's Day this year, Caleb and I took his dad shooting.

This last picture is my favorite. Even a tough guy like Tim loves my pink gun! ;)
